There are many courses in the Philippines that require the passing of the board examination set for the license. The examination and the license are issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Undeniably, taking a board exam can be one of the most unforgettable moment for anyone. You're going to prepare for months and review all you've learned.
Truth be told that the journey towards the board exam is actually since you entered college. Many may not realize it early as everyone eyes graduation but it is actually one of the peaks that one should prepare for.
Are you planning to take a board examination soon? Here are some board exam tips from the previous Board Passers that can help you pass the exam:
• Know your weak and strong topics. Alot time on reviewing the lessons of your strong topics but alot more time on your weak topics.
• Strive hard to improve your analytical skills on answering questions.
• Brush up your memory especially the basic mathematical equations and basic science concepts. Don't assume this test is easy since you took this up when you were in Elementary or High School. Remember that a lot of years had passed.
• Prepare everything before the exam. Make sure you have read the test guidelines many times.
• Take enough sleep before the exam. Make sure you don't feel drowsy while taking the exam so you have enough time to answer them all.
• Eat well and use the restroom before the exam. You are not allowed to go out while taking the exam.
• Follow instructions. Listen to what the proctor is telling you during the exam. If it is not clear, ask the proctor.
• Manage your examination time as most tests give you more than enough time to complete it. By dividing the time allotted by the number of questions, calculate the average time given to you per question. If you have to read more than twice a question to know what it's asking, mark and leave it, then move on to the next one. Once the entire test is done, check your time and return to those you left unanswered.
• Don't get stuck by those hard to answer questions. First answer all the simple questions, then tackle the tough ones.
• Eliminate as many error as possible. It is easier to decide between two choices than between five. The exam is formatted in a question type of multiple-choice.
• Avoid erasures. Before you shade it, make sure you are shading the right answer, or at least it is your final answer. If you need to erase it, make sure it is clean. But it is not a good idea.
• Try lining up your test booklet with your answer sheet for answering efficiency.
• Be careful not to make any stray marks on your answer sheet as the test is checked by a machine.
• Always check if you are answering the questions in the right spot. Right answers in wrong places result in test failures.
• Bring your Common Sense. Most of the time, you haven't reviewed whatever appears on the real exam. What will help you answer the exam are your basic understanding of the topics and your analytical skill. Don't overdo it though because you might miss the right answer.
Goodluck!
